We are developing gowns that may be re-used up to 50 times (that is our aim). This will be of great use to the NHS by cutting down costs but also minimising waste.
It is a stunning fact, but in the first few months of the Covid pandemic the NHS disposed of PPE that could have filled the Albert Hall 6 times over!
This project is being led by Holly Morris, an orthopaedic surgeon working in the NHS. Holly is being supported by the Textile Institute, Ansys and MSc students of Keele University.
